Hi! If you’re reading this, chances are you know me already. If you don’t, my name is Lukas. I am a junior in college revisiting my passion for journalism. Throughout high school, beginning in my sophomore year, I was an entertainment writer, entertainment editor, and feature editor for my school’s newspaper, Hy News. In addition to writing and editing, I was recognized at various journalism competitions in categories including review writing, editorial writing, and copy editing. In April 2025, I was awarded 3rd Place in Headline Writing at the IHSA State Journalism competition.
